Are you sure your seat was all the way down? I had this car as a loaner once I think it was a 2021 I'm 6ft4 and I like my seat to be as low as possible when I'm driving. I was completely fine with the driving position. Maybe you like sitting lower than I do which I doubt lol

planning to get the gt350 this whole year, now ima get the Mach 1, tho it doesn’t got the voodoo engine, also unfortunate it has the 5.0 v8 but lots more room for performance modifications compared to the voodoo yet newer

To ME, and to me only, the RDX is king of its class hands down.

A co-workers low pressure fuel pump as part of a huge recall failed in her Pilot. She was driving 35mph. She limps it home, but has to get it towed back to the dealership. Currently they're maybe going to give her a loaner, but most likely not for longer than this weekend. Pretty crappy. My parents always had loaners for warranty work when it was needed. Now they don't even want to support customers who purchased cars from them... SMH.

My Kona N got me from Charleston SC to Columbia SC and back at 32mpgs! And has plenty of room

The new cars of today are garbage sorry to tell u honda started making bad cars after year 2000 these newer GDI engines are crap and anything with turbo not worth it unless its a nissan gtr not these dinky turbos they put in plus they wont last like an older honda its not the same honda and also the older honda all had double wish bone suspension the suspensions now are like Ford cars nothing great a 1999 integra type r are selling for 80k those were the real hondas

you can go to a different dealer, nothing is going to change. there are the same issues everywhere, better off finding a local Honda tuning shop or learn yourself.

Anyone know of a phone reminder on the wireless charging pad? I keep leaving my damn phone in the car! 😑

The main issue with the wireless charger is that if your phone gets shifted at all due to even small bumps in the road, the charger will just stop charging and give up trying… it’s very sensitive for no reason. A major design failure there. If you lift you phone up for about 5-10 seconds and then out it back down again it will start charging again. Very annoying to have to do that but it’s usable in a pinch. I am really hoping someone comes out with a good aftermarket replacement that still looks OEM but has the QI 2 /Apple strong magnets. The current one does change way better if you have no phone case but nobody got time for that.

The track pad does take some getting used to! I do honestly prefer it now though to my wife’s car’s touch screen. It does a couple of things better than touch screens: 1. it makes it so you look at the screen for a shorter period of time for some activities like radio ( distracted driving ) when doing stuff and 2. it makes it easy to ignore “bad input” while you’re driving and the car is jostling around… on my wife’s touch screen Subaru, this is soooo annoying that you’re trying to touch something on the screen and you hit the tiniest bump and it moves your finger and you hit something else instead or you tap it twice or it does nothing. The trackpad is far better in situations like that because of the wrist rest and the interface. It isn’t perfect by any means but I like it. The only beef I have with it is that swiping up/down has the opposite direction behavior to what I subconsciously think it should be. Don’t know if you can change that in the settings or not.

Was lowkey curious about what Acura stuck you in while you waited for the ITS. This is what my girl and I are planning to swap for the ST. It is pretty damn expensive though, so we’re opting for a CPO example. Glad to see you agree with us on the major points of this car! And who doesn’t love that 2.0T/10spd combo?!

2025 RDX announced today with very minor changes, what a letdown. 1. Doesn't get a touchscreen, still uses touchpad interface 2. Doesn't get a digital instrument cluster from the TLX/MDX 3. Doesn't get a larger 12" infotainment screen from the TLX

Great review. I’ve always been fond of Honda, mowed several and eventually will own an Acura down the road. Performance, reliability and driving experience can’t be beat. As for your initial troubles of owning the car, having to use your platform for a new car is ridiculous! Yet as you mentioned is a must if you can since corporations/ dealers see you as a number.

It doesn’t sound like it’s a solid car at all-like not even a little solid-like it’s the opposite of solid.

Aspec is better, had it for 2 years now and it averages ~40mpg during roadtrips.

That sound system sounded amazing, and the technology in the RDX is pretty on point, plus it looks like a spaceship interior wise, but for 50k I'm getting a Mazda CX5 lol.

Thank you for this review. I feel your pain with the dealership. That is a real bummer. I am 6 months into owning my ITS and I love it. I've had no problems at all with the car. I've added the carbon fiber spoiler and had the dealership install with no complications. I did bring the car into the dealership because i was hearing this sound that sounded like a loose timing belt or something. Every time I have the car in gear and am not pressing on the throttle/gas pedal, I hear this sound. They told me that all ITS make that sound and that it is the pressure release from the turbo. They showed me another type s they had on the lot and it too made that sound. Anyway, i still love the car.

Here's my 1 year ownership experience...I absolutely love the car. It handles great and is super practical and very engaging to drive. Seats aren't thst great and the ELS isn't as good as higher end Acura models. Also fot my use case of it being 90% commuter car on freeways and straight roads I do wish I got the is500 instead last year some times. However once I go for a spirited drive in the mountains I fall back in love with this car but I feel like I would have preferred to live with the is500. I know you love your manuals but if that weren't the case would you have went for the is500 instead?

I'm old enough to have been a teen in the 90s, and my boyfriends drove some awesome japanese cars of the day...turbo mazda 626 hatchback, nissan pulsar nx, nissan 240sx, mazda rx7 turbo (all stick shift, guys wouldn't be caught dead driving "lady shift" back then); it introduced me to a world beyond American muscle..anyways, I bought a '24 Z a couple months ago and freakin' love it! I have always had a soft spot for Nissan. (The last Nissan I owned was in 2001, I bought a '98 Maxima SE.) Wish me luck😅 and I hope Nissan turns things around financially.
